| Short and Sweet
Tips |
| 1. |
Drink small amounts of water often. |
| 2. |
Water is a great appetite suppressant. |
| 3. |
When considering that 'second helping' - keep in mind
that it takes 20 minutes for the brain to resister that
the tummy is full - so wait. Almost always it will have
just been 'head' hunger and not real hunger. |
| 4. |
Eat because you are hungry and stop when when you have
had enough, even if it means not finishing your meal. |
| 5. |
Be aware of the fat content in the food you eat. Cut
back on fat and your weight will also cut back! |
| 6. |
Too much salt can promote fluid retention. Use more
herbs and spices to flavour food and the need for salt
may not be so great. |
| 7. |
When it comes to exercise, select activities you ENJOY.
Add variety, relax with it and enjoy the time you have
set aside. Just get started and feel the difference! Movement
promotes muscle and muscle burns fat. |
| 8. |
Never do your grocery shopping when you are hungry.
You will make wiser choices and resist the external temptations
if your tummy is already satisfied. |
| 9. |
Stop and think before you eat. Make eating a conscious
decision, not just a habit. If you are serious about weight
management, question your food choices. |
| 10. |
Eat some fresh fruit and vegetables every day - the
more raw food in our diet the better! |
